*Candidates who pass the theory exam will then do a practical assessment as part of the competition.
†You may be required to stay until the conclusion of the event.
Dress Code: Smart dress, e.g. shirt with collar or similar (no jeans).
The course will be run by Lynne Melia, a former FIE referee, British Fencing accredited Referee Instructor and Mentor. Applicants must be current members of British Fencing and have a good knowledge of foil with competitive experience. The course will be run with theory preparation and exam a week before via Zoom. On the day of the practical assessments, a short seminar will take place before to answer last minute questions. You do not need level 1 foil to join this course.
