Key Reminders:

- Withdrawals – Fencers can withdraw up to 12noon the day before the competition by emailing byc-qualifiers-epee@westmidlandsfencing.org.uk
On the day withdrawals can be done via phoning – 07961 437327 - All fencers must wear the correct kit as per British Fencing rules.
- There will not be an Armoury service at this event. Therefore, you should arrive with sufficient working equipment and be able to make own personal repairs where possible.
- COVID-19 Mitigation measures are in place
- There is limited space in the main hall for fencers and their kit with very little spectator access or viewing.
- Face Coverings are to be worn inside the venue (unless exempt)
- There will be Field of Play restrictions, to limit the number of people piste side i.e. one piste side supporter per athlete from the DE stages and no coaching allowed during the poules.
- No handshaking/elbow touching – replaced with salutes on the on-guard line

Competition format
One round of poules, everyone promoted to Direct Elimination (U12 to 10 hits, everyone else 15 hits in the DE’s).
DE Timings: 10 hits 2-1-2-1-2; 15 hits 3-1-3-1-3.
